Comfortis Plus – Fleas, Worms, and Heartworm Protection
Comfortis Plus is an advanced formulation that provides 3-in-1 protection against fleas, worms, and heartworms in dogs. The monthly oral tablet controls heartworms and protects dogs against the deadly heartworm disease. It kills fleas within 24 hours and controls and prevents flea infestations. The oral tablet is also effective in treating intestinal worms, including hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. Furthermore, Comfortis Plus also aids in the control of flea allergy dermatitis.
It is recommended for use in dogs and puppies from eight weeks of age weighing 5 lbs or greater.
How Dose Comfortis Plus for Dogs Work?
Comfortis Plus contains two active insecticides: Spinosad and Milbemycin Oxime. Spinosad is an effective insecticide with no negative effects on the environment. The ingredient acts on the nervous system of fleas, triggering their nerve cells. This leads to involuntary muscle contractions and tremors, which lead to the destruction of the fleas. It starts killing fleas within 30 minutes and eliminates 100% of them within 24 hours.
The other active ingredient, Milbemycin Oxime, attacks intestinal worms and immature forms of heartworms. The anthelmintic effectively controls heartworms and intestinal worms, protecting the dog from harmful infections.
