Promectin Plus All Wormer for Horses

Promectin Plus All Wormer is an efficient broad-spectrum worming paste for horses. It contains a powerful combination of praziquantel and abamectin. The oral formula treats and controls tapeworms, large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, hairworm, large mouthed stomach worm, neck threadworm, bots, lungworm and intestinal threadworm. It also controls summer sores and microfilariae of Onchocerca spp. and skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. This paste is safe to use in foals, yearlings, stallions and pregnant mares.

How it works?

Promectin Plus contains a blend of praziquantel and abamectin. Abamectin acts by binding selectively to glutamate-gated chloride channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, thus causing nerve and muscle cell depolarization resulting in paralysis and death of parasites. Praziquantel, when absorbed by tapeworms, causes a rapid tetanic spasm of the musculature of the parasite resulting in the first rapid contraction of the muscles leading to muscle paralysis in parasites. Together, both of these help in the elimination of worms from horses.

How to Use

Directions

Check the weight of your horse to determine the appropriate dosage quantity.
Remove the cap from the syringe.
Administer 0.2 mg/kg (0.2mg/2.2 lbs) abamectin and 2.5 mg/kg (2.5mg/2.2 lbs) praziquantel.
Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers sufficient paste to treat 110 lbs of body weight.
The total content of the syringe treats 1320 lbs (600 kg) of body weight.
